The LIVE FIT 5K run, which raised funds for PMA’s Foundation for Industry Talent, sold out before the show weekend at 250 racers. These ambitious athletes were at the start line before 7 a.m. Oct. 1 to race.
“We could easily have had 400, but Anaheim topped us at 250,” said Dan’l Mackey-Almy, owner of DMA Solutions, Irving, Texas, which coordinated the race for PMA.
More than $50,000 was raised at the event, which amounted to more than $30,000 after costs.
"We are already in motion for Orlando in 2010," Mackey-Almey said. "We hope to more than double."
